Lochness Table
Made by Cappellini
Designed by Piero Lissoni
Piero Lissoni's Lochness Table distills his signature sensibility into a single, unbroken gesture: a top held by a base with total formal economy. Introduced by Cappellini in 2015, the table belongs to a broader system that includes drawer units positioned beneath the worktop, to the left or right, making it equally at home as a dining table or a working surface.
The top is available in oak with a natural or black finish, in a matte lacquered surface, or in white Carrara or black Marquinia marble. Each material carries its own presence: the marble variants bring geological weight and veining that no two pieces repeat, while the oak and lacquered options read as quieter, more architectural planes. The metal base finishes in polished chrome or a matte varnish in white, black, or mud, allowing the relationship between top and base to shift from graphic contrast to tonal restraint.
- Top options: natural or black oak, matte lacquer, Carrara marble, Marquinia marble
- Base finishes: polished chrome, matte white, matte black, matte mud
- Modular system: compatible drawer units for left or right placement
Lissoni's work for Cappellini has long occupied this space between architecture and furniture, where proportion and material selection carry all the expressive weight. The Lochness Table is a precise object, and its restraint is deliberate.
