The Vermelha Chair began as an act of improvisation. Fernando and Humberto Campana, working from their São Paulo studio, coiled roughly 500 meters of acrylic-cored rope across a slender steel frame, building form through accumulation rather than conventional construction.
What reads as spontaneous is, in fact, precise. Each loop is placed with intention, creating a web that distributes weight evenly and wraps the body with an unexpected softness. The steel frame disappears beneath the weave, leaving only the gesture of the rope itself.
