Il nome è anche il metodo. "Turn" si riferisce alla tecnica di tornitura usata per modellare il corpo di metallo solido della lampada, un processo derivato dall'artigianato industriale in cui la rotazione stessa definisce il carattere dell'oggetto. La superficie conserva una debole texture da quel processo, tattile in un modo che la distingue da qualsiasi cosa fusa o pressata.
Disegnata da Nao Tamura, una designer nata a Tokyo il cui lavoro spazia tra prodotto, spazio e comunicazione, Turn distilla la sua sensibilità per oggetti che portano significato senza ornamenti. Un paralume circolare e una base circolare si specchiano l'un l'altro attraverso una sottile asta di collegamento. La geometria è semplice e intenzionale, la proporzione esatta.
