Davide Groppi concepisce ogni apparecchio come una meditazione su come la luce abita lo spazio, spogliando la forma ai suoi elementi essenziali. Sampei è tra le sue risposte più riuscite: un sottile arco in metallo nero opaco e fibra di vetro, regolabile in altezza fino a quasi 4,2 metri, che dirige un faretto concentrato con silenziosa precisione.
