Named after the Danish word for tranquillity, the Ro lounge chair by Jaime Hayon is a study in considered form. Its gently enveloping shell invites stillness, drawing the body inward through generous curves and a silhouette that resists urgency.
The JH1 variant rides on trumpet-shaped brushed aluminium legs, a signature gesture in Hayon's vocabulary. The form recalls his ceramic work, where flared, conical elements appear with an almost theatrical precision. Here, the legs continue the shell's free-flowing profile downward, ending in softly rounded points that meet the floor with quiet confidence.
This mixed upholstery version combines two of Fritz Hansen's most respected textiles. Hallingdal 65 in Charcoal covers the outer shell, its dense wool-and-viscose weave offering a matte, grounded presence. The interior is dressed in Remix 3 in Dark Blue Grey, a fine-scale multi-tone weave that introduces depth and warmth where the body makes contact.
