Ikeru™ Vase
Made by Fritz Hansen
Designed by Jaime Hayon
Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, treats each stem as a considered gesture rather than part of a mass. The Ikeru Vase Low by Fritz Hansen translates that philosophy into object form, using a series of metal flutes to hold individual flowers in deliberate separation, allowing each bloom to be read fully, from every angle.
A glass tray below the flutes holds water, keeping arrangements fresh without interrupting the composition. The structure is spare, almost architectural, inviting a slower kind of looking.
- Metal flutes hold stems individually for precise, open arrangements
- Glass water tray sustains the arrangement from below
- Low profile suits table settings, pedestals, or floor-level display
- Includes low and high variants
Fritz Hansen, founded in Copenhagen in 1872, has long understood that an object does not need complexity to carry meaning. The Ikeru series belongs to that tradition: a design resolved through reduction, drawing its character from what has been left out.
