Jasper Morrison's Lotus (Attesa) for Cappellini is a study in functional restraint. The swiveling and tilting mechanism is integrated into a beech plywood shell padded with polyurethane foam, producing a silhouette that is at once spare and receptive to the body.
The four-spoke base in die-cast aluminium is available with a polished chrome finish or matte black lacquer, each reading differently against the upholstery. Morrison's characteristic refusal of ornament is evident throughout: every element earns its place through proportion and performance, not surface gesture.
