Jasper Morrison's approach to furniture has always been one of reduction: removing what is unnecessary until only the essential gesture remains. The Oblong Plus Bed extends that discipline into the bedroom, evolving directly from the Superoblong Bed that entered the Cappellini collection in 2012.
The silhouette is characteristically quiet. Low, horizontal, and resolved, it reads as a single continuous form rather than an assembly of parts. The addition of an integrated storage compartment does nothing to disturb that calm - it is absorbed into the volume so completely that it feels inevitable rather than added.
Available in three sizes, the bed is upholstered across a broad palette of fabrics and leathers drawn from the Cappellini collection. Each material choice shifts the atmosphere of the piece: a tight-woven wool lends warmth and texture, while a smooth leather reads as something more spare and precise. The structure beneath remains the same either way.
