Patrick Norguet conceived the Rive Droite as an armchair with the presence of sculpture. The silhouette is generous without being heavy, held in tension by the precision of its swivel base in satined stainless steel, a material that gives the form an almost architectural grounding.
The structure combines polyurethane foam with a metal insert, while the seat is built from poplar plywood layered with multi-density polyurethane foam. This graduated approach to the seat's construction gives the chair a distinct responsiveness, each layer contributing to a different quality of support.
Upholstery is available across a broad range of Cappellini fabrics and leathers. A separate edition pairs the Rive Droite with textiles from Emilio Pucci, the Florentine house long associated with bold pattern and saturated colour, bringing a graphic sensibility to the chair's quieter formal geometry.
