Roberto Lazzeroni lavora da tempo all'incrocio tra la memoria artigianale e la forma contemporanea. Lo specchio da terra DUO distilla questa sensibilità in un unico oggetto: uno specchio a figura intera la cui struttura in legno massello di frassino è rifinita a mano con la tecnica della gouge (sgorbia), intagliando canali poco profondi nella superficie che catturano e distribuiscono la luce in modi che nessuna finitura a macchina può replicare.
Con i suoi 200 cm di altezza, DUO si presenta prima come architettura e poi come arredo. La silhouette è essenziale, le proporzioni studiate. Ciò che lo distingue è la superficie stessa, dove il ritmo dei segni della sgorbia trasforma un materiale strutturale in qualcosa con calore, tattilità e una sottile tensione visiva tra ordine e artigianalità.
