Patricia Urquiola ha concepito il tavolo Diamond come uno studio sulla tensione controllata. La base è formata da lamiere di alluminio piegate, un gesto mutuato dall'origami, rinforzate internamente con alluminio e poliuretano per ottenere al contempo delicatezza visiva e integrità strutturale. Il risultato è una gamba che appare quasi senza peso pur mantenendo tutta l'autorevolezza di un oggetto scultoreo.
Disponibile in formati quadrati e rettangolari, il piano del tavolo può essere scelto in vetro, marmo o legno, e ogni finitura ne modifica il carattere senza alterarne l'identità essenziale. Il tavolo Diamond ha ricevuto il Red Dot Design Award Best of the Best nel 2005, uno dei riconoscimenti più esigenti nel design internazionale.
