Disegnata da Roberto Lazzeroni nel 1996, la sedia Chambre Close nasce da un attento processo di rivalutazione. Il servomuto, un complemento d’arredo a lungo relegato alla sola funzionalità, viene qui riproposto come una sedia di autentico carattere formale. Le sue sezioni sottili e ad incastro, realizzate in noce americano massello, appaiono come una calligrafia, e la geometria dello schienale richiama apertamente gli ideogrammi giapponesi senza imitarli né ornarli.
La struttura pesa meno di tre chilogrammi. Questa leggerezza non è casuale; essa influenza il modo in cui il pezzo abita una stanza, come può essere sollevato, riposizionato o semplicemente lasciato come oggetto composto in camera da letto o nello spazio guardaroba. Lo schienale funge da appendiabiti, una barra per pantaloni si trova nella sezione inferiore e i ganci laterali accolgono cinture o cravatte. Nulla è aggiunto oltre ciò che la forma già richiede.
Un sedile imbottito opzionale, rivestito in tessuto, pelle o cuoio naturale, introduce una nota orizzontale di comfort senza compromettere l'essenziale apertura della sedia. Le finiture in noce spaziano su diverse tonalità, con trattamenti a gommalacca disponibili per esaltare la profondità e le venature del legno. Ogni pezzo è realizzato su ordinazione nei laboratori toscani di Ceccotti Collezioni, dove l'artigianato ha guidato ogni decisione produttiva sin dalla fondazione dell'azienda nel 1956.
