Il suo fulcro è un diffusore sferico in vetro soffiato a mano, modellato con quella leggera variazione che solo la soffiatura del vetro può produrre. La sfera poggia su un gambo affusolato che a sua volta emette luce, annullando il confine tra apparecchio e illuminazione. Non c'è un bordo netto dove la luce inizia o finisce, solo una transizione graduale e suggestiva dal gambo al globo all'ambiente.
