Per creare l'illuminazione perlescente, lunghe sezioni di vetro vengono estratte e ripiegate su se stesse mentre si raffreddano, intrappolando l'aria nell'ansa, creando un effetto granuloso e strutturato.
Il processo è estremamente preciso e richiede che il vetro sia a una temperatura esatta per creare e intrappolare le bolle. Le sezioni vengono ripiegate su se stesse almeno dieci volte, ogni volta catturando aria extra e rendendo il vetro più perlescente.
