19 Series

Bocci's 19 Series by Omer Arbel transforms the unpredictable qualities of sand casting into a collection of one-of-a-kind sculptural vessels. Molten red brass is poured into a sand mold and allowed to spill beyond its intended boundary, preserving the irregular excess material as part of the finished object. The resulting oxidized exterior forms a highly textured surface that contrasts with the smooth, hand-polished interior.

Each 19 Series vessel is individually produced and serialized, making variations in contour, texture, and patina intrinsic to the design. The Small edition features an approximately 280 mm inner diameter, while the solid brass construction develops additional character naturally over time. Rather than concealing the marks of production, the collection makes process visible, creating collectible objects defined by material experimentation and singular form.
