The VL Ring Crown Table Lamp, a distinguished example of Danish functionalism, was created in the 1940s by renowned architect Vilhelm Lauritzen. Meticulously crafted in Denmark by Louis Poulsen, it showcases mouth-blown, triple-layered opal glass shades that emit a gentle, uniform, and glare-free light. The untreated satin polished brass frame gracefully ages, developing a unique patina over time. Emitting primarily downward light, this lamp embodies a refined Danish design legacy, originally conceived for Copenhagen’s historic Danish Broadcasting House, an elegant addition to any contemporary living space.
