In 1954, Vilhelm Lauritzen designed a pendant for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation's Radiohuset in Copenhagen, a building he had conceived himself. The VL 45 Radiohus LED Portable Lamp is a faithful reinterpretation of that original, translated into a form that moves freely through interior and exterior spaces alike.
The mouth-blown opal glass shade preserves the soft, even diffusion that defined the historic fixture, casting a warm, enveloping glow without glare. A genuine leather carrying strap, offered in complementary colorways, grounds the object in craft and gives it the quiet confidence of something made to be handled.
