Nereo
Made by Salvatori
Designed by Elisa Ossino
Nereo begins with a single premise: marble as a material to be felt, not just seen. Elisa Ossino's design for Salvatori strips away decorative intention, letting the stone's weight, warmth, and grain carry the room.
The collection's basin, drawers, and side panels share a continuous radius, a formal choice that produces calm coherence across every surface. There are no abrupt transitions. Volume is generous without being imposing, and edges are softened to encourage contact.
Seven Salvatori stones anchor the material palette, each available in four surface treatments: Levigato, Raw, Plisse, and Bamboo. For those drawn to warmer registers, fronts in Canaletto Walnut, Light Oak, Grey Oak, and Coffee Oak offer a dialogue between stone and wood that reads as deeply considered rather than decorative.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who designed the Nereo bathroom collection?
Nereo was designed by Elisa Ossino, a Milan-based architect and designer known for her work with natural stone and her long-standing collaboration with Salvatori. Her approach consistently prioritizes materiality and proportion over ornamentation.
What stones is Nereo available in?
Nereo is offered in seven stones from Salvatori's quarried material range, including selections from their signature palette. Each stone can be specified in four surface textures: Levigato (polished), Raw, Plisse, and Bamboo, allowing significant variation in tactile character within the same form.
Can Nereo be specified with wood fronts?
Yes. Nereo drawer and side panel fronts can be specified in four wood finishes: Canaletto Walnut, Light Oak, Grey Oak, and Coffee Oak. These can be combined with stone basins and surrounds to introduce warmth and contrast within the same composition.
What is the design logic behind Nereo's shared radius?
Elisa Ossino applied a single continuous radius across the basin, drawers, and side panels of Nereo, so every component reads as part of one resolved form rather than assembled parts. This geometric discipline is what gives the collection its calm, sculptural coherence.
How does Salvatori's surface texture affect the look of Nereo?
Each of Salvatori's four textures produces a distinct sensory and visual result on the same stone. Levigato is highly polished and reflective; Raw preserves the stone's natural, unworked surface; Plisse introduces a fine ridged pattern; and Bamboo creates a softer, striated effect. The choice of texture substantially shapes the atmosphere of the finished bathroom.
