Made by Desalto
The Mun chair takes its name and form from the moon, rendering its perfect circularity as a continuous tubular steel frame. Designed for Desalto in 2019, the silhouette is both elemental and precise: a closed loop that defines the backrest with an unbroken gesture, softened by an upholstered seat in fabric or leather.
The frame is available in glossy or matt lacquer, each finish shifting the chair's character. Glossy lacquer amplifies the circular form through reflection, drawing attention to proportion. Matt lacquer quiets the surface, letting the geometry speak without embellishment.
Desalto's broad colour palette invites composition across a table setting, where each seat can differ from the next. The idea is one of deliberate individuality within a coherent whole, guests distinguished by colour, the form remaining constant.
