Icolounge
Made by Ceccotti Collezioni
Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni
Roberto Lazzeroni conceived the Icolounge in 2020 as a self-contained reinterpretation of his Ico sofa, recalibrating its proportions so the form could stand as an independent object. The result is a lounge chair that holds its own in any arrangement, equally at home in a reading corner or anchoring a larger composition.
The frame is solid American walnut, a wood whose warm grain and structural honesty Lazzeroni returns to repeatedly throughout his body of work. Beneath the upholstery, a shell of poplar plywood is cut to an extra-deep elliptical plan, creating a seat that draws the body inward without sacrificing visual restraint. The backrest rises and curves around the sides in a single continuous gesture, becoming an armrest that wraps rather than interrupts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the frame material of the Icolounge?
The Icolounge is built on a solid American walnut frame, chosen for its structural integrity and warm, expressive grain. The seat shell beneath the upholstery is formed from poplar plywood shaped into an extra-deep elliptical plan.
How does the Icolounge relate to the Ico sofa?
Roberto Lazzeroni based the Icolounge on the proportional logic of his Ico sofa, then reinterpreted the form in a smaller, independent scale so the chair can function as a standalone piece without requiring the context of a larger seating grouping.
Is the Icolounge available in different upholstery options?
As a made-to-order piece from Ceccotti Collezioni, the Icolounge can be specified in a range of upholstery materials and finishes. Consulting directly with the atelier or an authorized representative is recommended for current fabric and leather options.
Who is Roberto Lazzeroni?
