Poltrona Frau's Blisscape Deep Modular Sofa draws from an unexpected source: the science of sleep. Its cushioning system borrows directly from mattress engineering, using zoned padding to distribute weight across pressure points, preserve the seat's profile over years of use, and promote breathability in a way conventional upholstered seating rarely achieves.
The frame beneath combines solid beech, poplar, and birch plywood over a metal structure, each material chosen for its contribution to long-term rigidity and acoustic quiet. Nothing shifts. Nothing flexes where it shouldn't.
Each backrest cushion reclines independently through a bayonet mechanism, a precise detail that produces a meaningful shift in posture and atmosphere without altering the sofa's composed silhouette. All cushion covers, whether in Pelle Frau leather or fabric, are fully removable.
