The house rises along a Ligurian hillside on the Riviera di Ponente, set among the green of the Mediterranean scrub and the blue of the sea below. The project began with the owners' desire to transform the residence into a private retreat, a place to escape the rhythms of their working lives. Through their collaboration with the Interni Design Experience team, who were entrusted with the entire interior project, the result reflects precisely what the clients hoped to achieve. Every detail was considered with care, and the atmosphere of the house carries through from the moment of arrival. The entrance opens onto a stairwell that extends to the upper floors, where a sculptural light fixture by Henge and a sculpture by Arnoldi animate the elliptical staircase.

To the left, the bathroom is fitted by Antonio Lupi, with doors by Rimadesio. Straight ahead lies the kitchen, anchored by generous worktops in Calacatta gold porcelain, a fully equipped central island, ample storage, and high-end appliances. The wall clocks are by Vitra.

Beyond the kitchen is the dining area, where a large oval table is surrounded by Cassina armchairs and lit by a hand-finished antique-style brass chandelier by Baxter, made by the artist himself. The Flowers sculpture occupies the front wall. The flooring, a custom-designed Venetian terrazzo, opens the spaces to the surrounding landscape. Behind the dining area sits the seating composition by Cassina, paired with two round Ceccotti coffee tables featuring solid wood bases hand-carved with chisels and back-painted glass tops.

On the upper floor, a relaxation area is composed with Minotti sofas, a Vitra chaise longue, a Knoll game table, and Cassina armchairs. The view of the sea reaches every room, including the guest and master bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom.

A spiral staircase connects the sleeping area to the tower of the house, where a small retreat opens above the landscape, an intimate space for quiet hours, a favored cigar, or a rare liqueur. The basement accommodates a wellness area complete with a sauna, an experience shower with chromotherapy, an herbal tea station, a relaxation zone, and a Zerobody Dry Float tub.

The outdoor program presented a particular challenge: the existing architecture was already considerable in presence, which called for a measured response. The terraced exterior was conceived as a balance between the dominant landscape and the residence itself. The pool, clean and decisive in its geometry, is paired with minimalist loungers by B&B Italia. The outdoor kitchen and dining areas, shaded by an ancient pine and set within the olive groves, are furnished with an MDF table and chairs by Paola Lenti. Adjacent to the pool, the soft contours of the relaxation sofas establish a sense of flow, the air carrying the scent of olives and the sea. As the sun sets, the house is reshaped by the interplay of light and shadow. A second dining table, set above the surrounding landscape, transforms the experience of an evening meal. The table and chairs are by Roda, the patio umbrella by Tuuci.
