Haldane Martin's Tuber takes its cue from the subterranean world, where bulbs and rhizomes store energy in dense, rounded forms just below the soil's surface. The silhouette translates that organic logic into object, distilling the geometry of growth into something that reads equally as sculpture and function.

Martin is one of South Africa's most recognized furniture and product designers, known for work that draws from African ecology and cultural identity without retreating into ornament. His process favors the essential: a form that could not be anything other than what it is.
