Ciotola profonda Tale

Antonino Sciortino is a Palermo-born, Brussels-based designer and artist known for his wire sculptures and objects. His work draws on the tradition of the draughtsman, translating the vocabulary of drawing into three-dimensional metal forms that feel simultaneously handmade and architectural.

The Tale Deep Bowl is constructed from hand-bent metal wire, finished with hand-applied paint and polish. The handwork gives each piece a subtle individuality, with slight variations in form and finish that are intrinsic to the process.

It serves both purposes. The open wire construction makes it well suited as a decorative centerpiece or as a bowl for fruit and smaller objects. Its sculptural presence is equally strong whether filled or empty.

Because the form is built from intersecting wire rather than solid planes, its silhouette shifts dramatically as you move around it. From certain angles it reads almost like a flat line drawing; from others, the overlapping wires create depth and cast layered shadows on the surface beneath.

As a hand-finished metal object, it is best wiped with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or prolonged exposure to moisture, which can affect the hand-applied paint and polish over time.
