La Pigreco è uno studio sulla riduzione. Davide Groppi, il designer piacentino la cui pratica si fonda sulla convinzione che la luce stessa sia il vero materiale, ha concepito questa lampada come un dialogo tra due sostanze elementari: cristallo e cemento. Niente è decorativo. Tutto è intenzionale.
Al centro del pezzo si trova una sfera di cristallo rifinita a mano, con un emisfero in vetro satinato. La sfera ruota liberamente sulla sua base, passando dalla luce ambientale diffusa alla proiezione focalizzata. Una sorgente LED, completamente nascosta all'interno della base, rimane invisibile, preservando l'impressione che la sfera stessa sia viva di illuminazione.
