Quando Piergiorgio Cazzaniga presentò la sedia Sign per MDF Italia nel 2006, segnò un chiaro cambiamento nel modo in cui un singolo materiale poteva portare sia peso strutturale che espressivo. Modellata da un unico foglio continuo di polietilene, la forma è fluida dove la maggior parte delle sedute da esterno è rigida, la sua silhouette traccia un arco discreto che si presenta sia scultoreo che istintivamente ergonomico.
Il profilo sinuoso della sedia non è decorativo nel senso convenzionale. Emerge direttamente dal processo di formatura, quindi la curva e il comfort sono lo stesso gesto.
