Minima 42
Made by MDF Italia

Domande Frequenti
What material is the Minima 42 shelf made from?
The Minima 42 is built from extruded aluminum, which is 100% recyclable. The material gives the system structural integrity while maintaining a lean, industrial profile that reads lightly in an interior.
Can the Minima 42 be extended to a custom length?
Yes. The proprietary joining system allows modules to connect without visual interruption, so the shelf can be configured to virtually any length. Nominal cabinet widths of 30, 60, and 90 cm provide the building blocks for that configuration.
Is the Minima 42 available as a freestanding unit?
In addition to its wall-mounted form, the Minima 42 is offered in a ground-resting variant available in five different heights, making it suitable as freestanding storage furniture.
What storage options can be added to the system?
Storage units with flap-opening doors or two-drawer configurations can be integrated at any point along the shelf. These units are repositionable, allowing the layout to change as storage needs evolve.
Who designed the Minima 42 and what is their background?
The Minima 42 was designed by Bruno Fattorini, a Milan-based architect and designer who co-founded MDF Italia. His work consistently prioritizes modularity, material economy, and quiet formal discipline.
