Disegnato da Marco Zanuso tra il 1969 e il 1970, il tavolo Marcuso occupa una posizione rara nella storia dell'arredamento italiano: è concepito come una struttura, non come un oggetto. L'approccio di Zanuso ha ridotto il tavolo da pranzo alla sua logica operativa, lasciando che il sistema di giunzione stesso diventasse la dichiarazione visiva.
Le gambe in acciaio inossidabile si collegano al piano in vetro attraverso dischi d'acciaio saldati, eliminando la carpenteria tradizionale a favore di un raffinato legame adesivo. Il risultato è un tavolo che appare quasi senza peso, eppure trasmette un preciso senso di convinzione tecnica. La sua geometria è essenziale senza essere austera.
