Crate Series
Made by Established & Sons
Designed by Jasper Morrison
The Crate Series begins with an honest material: solid yellow pine, waxed to preserve its grain and natural warmth. What reads as elemental is, in fact, deliberate. Established & Sons drew on the visual language of industrial crating, stripping the storage typology down to its most essential geometry.
A polypropylene strap hinge holds the composition together with quiet precision, introducing a considered material contrast against the wood. Felt feet pads protect surfaces without interrupting the object's character from any angle.
The series rewards proximity. Up close, the wax finish gives the pine a depth that shifts with light and age, developing a patina that belongs entirely to its owner. It is storage as object, and object as argument for doing more with less.
