Cloud nasce come una riflessione sull'accumulo. Ronan ed Erwan Bouroullec hanno concepito questo sistema di scaffalature modulari per Cappellini non come un oggetto fisso, ma come una struttura che cresce con l'uso, modellata tanto da ciò che contiene quanto dallo spazio circostante.
Ogni unità è realizzata in polietilene bianco tramite stampaggio rotazionale, un processo che produce forme cave e senza giunzioni con una morbidezza raramente riscontrabile nell'arredo strutturale. I singoli elementi si collegano tramite clip a pressione in metallo bianco e possono essere orientati orizzontalmente o verticalmente, consentendo alle composizioni di estendersi lungo una parete o di ergersi autoportanti dal pavimento.
