Set on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, Villa Isola is a residence developed by the Dubai studio Etereo Design in collaboration with Interni. The house is conceived as a contemporary reading of luxury rooted in restraint, with elegance located in the precision of the detailing and the discipline of the composition rather than in any single gesture. Generous glazing brings natural light into the interiors and opens the rooms toward the surrounding site, dissolving the threshold between inside and out. While Etereo Design led the architectural program, the partnership with Interni was central to the selection and supply of the furnishings.
"We wanted to create a living experience that embodied tranquility and elegance," the studio notes. "Every detail, every material choice, was guided by a passion for design and the intention to deliver the best possible living experience."
The material palette includes gray marble from Oman, set against ribbed timber and bronze finishes in a composition where texture and color sit in close register. Verde Alpi marble was specified for select moments, the kitchen and its island, and the principal columns among them, reinforcing the standard of materials applied throughout.
The design brief extended beyond aesthetics to sustainability. Low-emissivity glazing and a carefully optimized wall insulation strategy reduced the residence's environmental footprint, while the use of locally sourced materials limited transportation emissions. Energy-efficient appliances complete the program, reflecting a broader commitment to a more responsible reading of luxury.
