A villa rising from the landscape with the presence of a mirage in the desert. The interplay of fine materials, Italian furnishings, and considered architectural decisions positions the residence as a study in how architecture and design can work in concert to produce spaces of distinct character. The interior program was led by Interni in partnership with Cantieri Project of Doha.
Through the front door, the Plissé sideboard in leather and the Marlene mirror, both by Baxter, are drawn from a palette that meets the marble floor. Beyond the entrance, a substantial open staircase in concrete, glass, and steel rises toward the sleeping quarters and a private gym. A composition of Glo suspension lamps, designed by Carlo Colombo for Penta, illuminates the volume.
The principal living area on the ground floor is composed across a sequence of seating arrangements: Alfred sofas paired with Feel Good armchairs and the Plain ottoman, all by Flexform; Martini sofas by Giorgetti grouped with Leslie armchairs by Minotti; an Otium corner sofa by Maxalto and a refined multimedia wall. A Cratis carpet by B&B Italia anchors the composition. Two Flying Circles bookcases by Ceccotti punctuate the rhythm between the sofas.
The dining area is furnished by Henge: the Stealth table, with a marble top set on a brass base detailed with a honeycomb texture, is paired with Is-A chairs upholstered in ivory velvet. Two sculptural Tape Light lamps illuminate the table, while a B-Side sideboard against the adjacent wall completes the service to the room.
An entire wall of the living area opens through full-height glazing onto the garden, where a generous swimming pool sits alongside an outdoor living area composed with sofas, armchairs, and tables from the Fat Sofa Outdoor collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia.
