Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba are Italian architects and designers who founded their Milan-based studio in 1994 after both graduating in architecture in Rome. Working together for more than three decades, they have built a multidisciplinary practice spanning architecture, interiors, product design, yacht design, and art direction. Their official studio describes their work as rooted in the ability to combine a contemporary understanding of society and user needs with a deep knowledge of the historical and cultural foundations of design.
Over the years, Palomba and Serafini have developed a large international body of work for leading brands including Boffi, Cappellini, Driade, Foscarini, Kartell, Poltrona Frau, Zanotta, and Zucchetti.Kos. Their practice is especially recognized for uniting experimentation, innovation, form, function, and wellbeing, with a particularly strong influence in bathroom and living design. Public profiles and their own studio materials consistently present their work as a synthesis of past and future, where architectural thinking and product design remain inseparable. This has made them one of the most enduring and recognizable partnerships in contemporary Italian design.
