Francesco Rota was born in 1966 in Milan, Italy, where he continues to live and work. He graduated in product design from the Art Center College of Design in La Tour de Peilz, Switzerland, in 1994. Shortly after returning to Milan, he established his own studio and began developing a multidisciplinary practice that spans product design, furniture, lighting, interiors, and exhibition design.
Over the years, Rota has collaborated with numerous international brands including Paola Lenti, Knoll International, Living Divani, Moroso, Oluce, Lema, and Mercedes-Benz, among others. His work is recognized for its balance of innovation and practicality, often combining technical precision with clean, understated forms. In addition to product design, Rota has also developed residential interiors, offices, showrooms, and installations, reflecting a broad and adaptable design philosophy.
