Last week, Luminaire journeyed to the annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan to connect with design luminaries, to scope new products and to support young talent at the Salone Satellite through our sponsorship of the Design Report Awards. The Salone made its first appearance in 1961, with the aim of promoting Italian furniture and accessories to the export market. While it has continued to do this, it has exponentially grown to encompass design from all over the world, acting as the primary platform for the brightest stars of the international design community and serving as an invaluable source of inspiration for the thousands of people who visit each year.
