Poltrona Frau —

Poltrona Frau at Luminaire

Poltrona Frau was founded in 1912 in Turin, Italy by Renzo Frau, who found himself drawn to the classic styles of French and Central European furniture.

In 2013, the Poltrona Frau Museum, designed by Michele De Lucchi, opened with the aim of contributing to the creation of a collective historical memory of Italian design and craftsmanship through the remarkable collection of work that inspires our senses. Whether invigorating homes with furnishings that scintillate, producing custom-made furnishings for the transport sector, or engaging in one-off projects, like designing the interior of a Ferrari production car, Poltrona Frau has infused the world with good design for years upon years, a story still in the making, one of human-centered design peppered with masters of modern interiors, generating striking environments both classic and contemporary.
