Hosted in Miami’s Design District for the first time, ArchWeek and ArchMarathon Miami 2020 presented a week-long programming of events, lectures, meetings, workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions and other cultural activities – all dedicated to the arts, architecture and design.
Coinciding with the inaugural edition of ArchWeek Miami, Luminaire and Platform Magazine hosted Italian architect and designer Claudio Silvestrin for an evening discussion at Luminaire’s Lab showroom. Focusing on repeating concepts in his work, Silvestrin guided guests through the idea of timeless simplicity, architecture as salvation and more.
Silvestrin began the evening with a short video with footage of his family that gave the audience a glimpse into his personal life, giving a deeper understanding of his philosophy and values. He then led into an extensive presentation of his pioneering work, giving insightful details of his projects.
Following the lecture, guests gathered for photos with Silvestrin while enjoying passed champagne and an intimate setting which allowed for further conversation with the architect. On display was Silvestrin’s book, Timeless Italian Style Architecture Design Philosophy which he generously signed with every purchase.
From February 24 to 29, ArchWeek and ArchMarathon hosted outstanding professionals in architecture and interior design in Miami’s Design District. Luminaire was proud to be a sponsor and contribute to the thoughtful programming and activations during this week.
