Macchina della Luce by Catellani & Smith is a sculptural pendant lamp from the Luci d'Oro collection, inspired by Enzo Catellani's reflection on the golden light of the sun and fire. Built around the concept of refraction, the design layers diffuser discs lined with gold, copper, or silver-colored leaf to create a warm, luminous composition with a dramatic architectural presence.

Available in multiple configurations, Macchina della Luce features leaf-lined diffuser discs, brass or aluminum rods, and a nickel base, with disc compositions ranging from two to five elements depending on the model. Its warm 2700K LED light delivers outputs from 1,440 to 7,200 lumens, with Triac dimming and DALI or 1-10V options available on request. Refined, radiant, and highly expressive, it brings sculptural Italian lighting to dining rooms, entryways, stairwells, and grand hospitality interiors.
