The Greene armchair, introduced in 2019, is a study in proportion. Its lacquered tubular steel frame, sectioned at 60x30mm, reads as a drawn line beneath the upholstery, giving the piece a lightness that belies its structural resolve.
Cushions for the seat, armrests, and backrest are filled with prewashed and sterilized goose down, stitched into separate compartments and reinforced with a preformed polyurethane foam insert. The down settles naturally with use, developing a lived-in quality that only improves over time.
- Supporting structure in lacquered tubular steel, 60x30mm section
- Seat sprung with coated rubber elastic straps and polyurethane foam padding
- Backrest and armrest cores in cold-expanded polyurethane foam, covered in 100% polyether thermally bonded to polyamide velveteen backing
- Goose-down cushions stitched into separate compartments with polyurethane foam inserts
- Full-length seat cushion and leaned armrest cushion joined by a zip
- Steel rod feet, 22mm diameter, screwed to the backrest structure
