Designed by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez, the Big Bang Suspension Lamp emerged from a fascination with cosmic phenomena and the formal beauty of disorder. Irregular methacrylate planes radiate outward from a powder-coated aluminum core, arresting the geometry of an explosion at the moment of its greatest tension.
The result is a lamp that performs two roles simultaneously. Light falls with focus downward, while the translucent planes scatter a softer, diffused glow throughout the room, giving the composition an atmospheric depth that shifts with viewing angle and time of day.
