Aplomb Mini Suspension Lamp
Made by Foscarini
Designed by Lucidi Pevere
The Aplomb Mini distills a singular idea: concrete as intimacy. Designed by the Milan-based duo Lucidi & Pevere for Foscarini, it translates the weight and texture of industrial material into something surprisingly warm and considered.
Each diffuser is hand-poured and pigmented throughout, so the color is never a surface treatment but part of the object itself. The form hangs with the quiet authority of something cast rather than assembled, directing light downward in a focused cone that emphasizes surface, shadow, and atmosphere below it.
- Hand-poured concrete diffuser with integral pigmentation
- Directed downward light emission
- Available in anthracite, brown, grey, and white
- Scaled for intimate settings, effective in clustered groupings
The Aplomb Mini reads differently at different scales. Alone, it is an object of restraint. Grouped in multiples, it becomes a statement of rhythm and repetition, a compositional tool as much as a light source.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Foscarini Aplomb Mini made of?
The diffuser is hand-poured concrete with pigment mixed throughout the material, not applied as a surface coating. This gives each piece a consistent color and a tactile, slightly variable texture inherent to the casting process.
How does the Aplomb Mini distribute light?
It emits a directed downward cone of light, making it well-suited to task lighting over a table or countertop, as well as accent applications where focused illumination and shadow play are compositionally important.
Can Aplomb Mini pendants be grouped together?
Yes. Lucidi & Pevere designed the form with clustering in mind. Hanging multiples at varied heights, in the same or contrasting colorways, is a common approach in both residential and hospitality installations.
Who are the designers Lucidi & Pevere?
Pietro Lucidi and Luca Pevere are an Italian design duo based in Milan, known for work that explores materiality and the poetry of industrial processes. Their long collaboration with Foscarini has produced some of the brand's most recognized objects.
How does the Aplomb Mini differ from the standard Aplomb?
The Mini is a scaled-down version of the original Aplomb pendant, intended for lower ceiling heights, more intimate spaces, or grouped arrangements where the full-size form would be visually dominant.
