Jaime Hayon was born in 1974 in Madrid, Spain. He studied industrial design in Madrid and Paris before joining Fabrica, the Benetton Group’s design and communication research center in Italy, where he directed the design department from 1997 to 2003. During this time he began developing a distinctive creative voice that merges artistic expression with product and industrial design.
In 2000 Hayon founded Hayon Studio and soon became one of the most influential designers of his generation. His work spans furniture, lighting, interiors, installations, sculpture, and painting, often characterized by bold colors, playful forms, and a unique visual language that bridges art and design. Hayon has collaborated with leading brands including Fritz Hansen, Cassina, Magis, BD Barcelona, Baccarat, and Lladró, and his work has been exhibited in major museums and galleries worldwide.
