Alberto Zattin is an Italian designer whose work moves across art direction, graphics, architecture, interior design, and product design, with a language defined by clarity, precision, and quiet emotional resonance. He is especially known for his long-standing collaboration with Davide Groppi, for whom he has designed several lighting pieces, bringing an architectural sensibility to objects that feel reduced, elegant, and deeply atmospheric. After exploring design and creativity through different disciplines, he co-founded Lo Studio in 2003 with Paola Ascari, his partner in life and work, establishing a practice based in Reggio Emilia.
Among the works associated with his name are luminaires such as Toast, Q, and Calma, projects that reflect a restrained and expressive approach to light as part of space rather than as a separate object. His work stands out for its ability to translate minimal gestures into strong visual presence, aligning technical rigor with a distinctly Italian sense of refinement.
