Il cerchio ha un peso nella storia dell'arte. La O di Giotto, il leggendario anello a mano libera disegnato per dimostrare maestria, è il riferimento silenzioso qui. Quel gesto, allo stesso tempo umile e virtuoso, dà a questa lampada il suo nome e la sua sensibilità. Nulla è nascosto. Il filo blu, il dimmer nichel e nero, il ferro grezzo, tutto si legge come scelte ponderate piuttosto che necessità.

The lamp takes its name from the legendary story of Giotto di Bondone, the medieval painter who demonstrated his mastery by drawing a perfect circle freehand. Enzo Catellani's design uses that single circular form as its governing gesture, treating the ring not as ornament but as the object itself.

The lamp combines a rough iron base with a hand-painted blue copper ring. The cord is blue fabric, and the dimmer is finished in nickel and black. All components are assembled by hand in Italy, and the surface treatments are applied individually, meaning each piece carries subtle variation.
