L'Armadio Scrigno è uno degli oggetti più sorprendenti nati dalla lunga collaborazione dei Fratelli Campana con Edra. Il suo esterno è interamente ricoperto da frammenti di specchio applicati a mano, ogni frammento si sovrappone al successivo in un mosaico denso e irregolare che cattura e rifrange la luce in modo diverso a seconda dell'ora e dell'angolo di osservazione. Non ci sono due pezzi che appaiono uguali due volte.
Sotto quella superficie riflettente si cela una carcassa in legno laccato, costruita con precisione, con ante, cassetti e ripiani disposti per offrire una reale utilità di stoccaggio. Il contrasto è deliberato: grezzo e quasi geologico all'esterno, composto e controllato all'interno.
Fernando e Humberto Campana, operando da San Paolo, hanno costruito la loro pratica sulla tensione tra l'abbandono materico e l'intelligenza strutturale. Il loro lavoro per Edra trasforma costantemente materiali trovati o frammentati in oggetti di peso culturale, dove artigianato e concetto sono inseparabili. Lo Scrigno, così chiamato per la parola italiana che indica un portagioie, è forse l'espressione più letterale di questa sensibilità: un contenitore che è esso stesso il tesoro.
