Rondos

Patricia Urquiola's Rondos for Cassina begins with a single gesture: the curve. Where most storage furniture insists on right angles, Rondos lets its sides arc gently inward, softening the silhouette without sacrificing structural clarity. The result reads as both composed and welcoming, at home in a bedroom as naturally as in a living room.

The piece is available in four configurations, two scaled for the nighttime zone and two for daytime living areas. Drawer layouts vary, and open-front versions introduce glass shelves for a lighter visual weight. Push-to-open hardware keeps the facade clean, free of handles or visible hardware interrupting the form.

Structure and feet are built from birch plywood veneered in stained black oak, Canaletto walnut, or natural oak. The interior of drawer versions is finished in matt-lacquered MDF. Tops offer a meaningful range: veneered birch plywood in matching finishes, or marble in white Carrara, Carnico grey, Alpi green, Levanto red, or Calacatta gold, each slab chosen to hold its own against the warmth of the wood below.
