Planner™ MC300 Coffee Table
Made by Fritz Hansen
Paul McCobb built his reputation on restraint. Working through the 1950s and 1960s, the American designer developed a formal language of slender proportions, clean geometry, and a rigorous respect for materials - a sensibility that felt more European than the prevailing American taste of his era. The Planner collection was central to that vision.
Fritz Hansen's relaunch of the Planner series returns McCobb's work to production with full fidelity to the original spirit. The MC300 Coffee Table is circular in form, with a honed marble surface that reads as both geological and graphic. The stone's matte finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the table a grounded, meditative presence.
- Honed marble top in charcoal
- Powder-coated steel base with a precise linear framework
- Circular silhouette with geometric structural clarity
The powder-coated steel base carries McCobb's signature linear discipline - thin members arranged with structural economy, nothing superfluous. Set against the weight and texture of the marble, the contrast between materials becomes the table's defining dialogue: industrial precision meeting geological time.
