Patricia Urquiola concepisce Bio-Mbo non come un semplice elemento d'arredo, ma come un oggetto di benessere. Due alette laterali mobili, ciascuna rifinita con una maniglia in pelle, si estendono dalla struttura con un gesto tanto pratico quanto compositivamente risolto. La cornice imbottita stessa è realizzata in massello di noce Canaletto, frassino tinto nero o frassino tinto amaranto, ogni legno portando con sé una propria identità tonale. Queste non sono finiture intercambiabili, ma distinte interpretazioni della stessa forma.
