The Bambi table is a product of Nendo's characteristic economy of means. Designed by Oki Sato's Tokyo-based studio and produced by Cappellini, it begins with a single sheet of aluminium, laser-cut and folded to form both the top surface and the structural logic of the piece. The base and legs are drawn from metal extrusion, keeping the silhouette lean and the material palette consistent.
Every surface is finished in matte lacquer, available in white, black, or mud. The absence of gloss is deliberate: it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the table a quiet, almost recessive presence in a room.

Founded in 2002, Nendo operates at the intersection of Japanese minimalism and precise industrial process. Oki Sato trained as an architect, and that background is visible in the way Nendo approaches objects: as problems of structure and proportion first, ornament almost never. The studio's name, the Japanese word for clay, points to a belief in material as something to be shaped with discipline rather than decoration.
