Sammy's Beach Bar is a Mediterranean fusion restaurant by architect Mohamed Fares, set along the clear coastline of Marsa Matruh at Almaza Bay, a stretch of Egypt's northern shore that has established itself as a sought-after holiday destination. Ringed by sand, the restaurant reads as a Mediterranean oasis. Wood is the governing material, carried from the bar through the furniture and into the accessories, and handled by Fares in a register that is at once rustic and pared back.
